Geode Bookends

Wiley Wells Geode Bookends or Display Specimen

This is both sides of a Geode collected from Wiley's Well area near Blythe, California and Quartzite, Arizona. The area is detailed in the popular rock-hounding books, "Gem Trails in California" by A.L. Abbott and "Desert Gem Trails" by Mary Frances Strong. There is a polish on the one side you see, bottom and inside are not polished, and the outside is the natural stone. While they would make nice bookends for small to medium sized books, they are awesome display specimens. Each side is approximately 3 1/2" x 2" x 4 3/4" high, together weighing 3 lbs 7 oz, or 1.55 kilograms. For additional images, click here for additional image, image two, natural side of stone.

Fossil Wood Bookends

Polished Fossil Wood Stone Bookends

We are fairly certain these bookends are Petrified Wood, or Fossil wood. But a set with a mystery ... we can see the wood graining one the polished side and on the bottom. However, the top edges and backs are a solid black. The only thing we can think of is that the person that polished them possibly painted the edges and back black. Whatever the reason, they're just beautiful! They are sized for small to medium books, standing 5" tall x 4 3/8" and 1 5/8". They weigh 2280 grams, or 5 lbs. The pictures just don't do them justice. Jasper Agate Stone Bookends

Polished Jasper Agate Stone Bookends, Nice, Solid

This is a set of polished Jasper-Agate bookends. Easily will support up to medium sized books, though heavy enough for many larger books as well. Two sides are cut and polished and the rounded back side is the natural, uncut rock. The wider side is about 3 1/4" and the narrow side is about 2 5/8". They stand just over 5". Deep-Autumn Colored Jasper Stone Bookends

This is a set of polished Jasper bookends, with a little agate blending in. They are heavy enough that they should be able to support up to large sized books. They are sliced on three sides, though polished only on the face, and the back side is the natural, uncut rock. Each side is approximately 5 1/2" x 2" x 6 7/8" high. Rose Jasper Bookends

Polished Rose-Colored Jasper Stone Bookends

This is a set Jasper bookends, suitable for supporting up to large sized books. Two sides are cut and polished and the rest is the natural, uncut rock. The rock tapers from about 4" on one end to about 5" on the other and it was then cut in the middle (For that view, click here). You can position them as bookends a couple different ways, either way, making a neat conversation piece, as well as gorgeous bookends! Together, they are between 8" and 9" across, 5" at the highest point and between 4" and 5" wide. They weigh about 11 lbs 1 ounce, or 5.03 kilograms. This is a set of polished Travertine bookends, from the Mojave Desert in Southern California. They have a polish on the face of both pieces and the outside edge is the rock itself. They stand about 7 inches and a little less than 5 inches wide. They are roughly 1.75 inches deep and weigh 6 pounds, 1 ounce together. Polished Jasper Agate Stone Bookends, Possibly Petrified Palm Root

This is a set of polished Stone bookends. We are not sure what kind of rock this was cut from other than Jasper-Agate. It looks kind of like Petrified Palm Root, but we are not sure. They are only cut on the face and down the center, the outside of the bookends is the rock itself. They stand about 5.25 inches and 4 inches wide. They are roughly 2 inches deep and weigh 5 pounds, 4 ounces together. Neat pieces for any desk or bookshelf, suitable for any medium sized books! Pyramid Stone Bookends

Polished Pyramid Shaped Jasper-Agate Bookends

This is a set of polished stone, Jasper-Agate bookends. All four sides are cut and polished and the very top is the uncut rock. Felt lines the bottom. There is a very small crystal-filled cavity on one side! The base of each one of the triangular-cut sides is just over 4.25 inches, or about 8.75 inches together. The depth is just over 3 inches wide. They stand about 6 inches high in the center. Together they weigh about 11 pounds, 6 ounces.
