Dendritic Agate Slab
Dendritic Agate Slab - Awesome Tiny 'Branches'
[Full slab, on light background] [Other side, on light background] [Close-up with light from behind (kind of looks like a forest fire scene!)] [Close-up of other side, again with light from behind] [Full slab with light from below] [Other side, again with light from below] [On black background] [Other side] [Photographed dry] [Other side dry]This is a beautiful unpolished slab of dendritic agate from Rio Negro, Uruguay, commonly known as "Merlinite". The main photo and several others were taken with light from behind which highlights the dendrites. Some of the lines you see in the photos in the slide show are fractures (see dry photos), but still room for some beautiful cabs. But to me it is even a gorgeous display piece, especially if displayed with light from behind. It is roughly 3 5/8" x 3 1/8" and 5 mm thick. It weighs 88 grams, or 3.1 ounces. One side has a 7 marked on it, but it should polish off. Nice potential!

Condor Agate Slab
Full Slice Colorful Condor Agate Slab
This is a gorgeous, unpolished full slice from a larger Condor Agate. The colors are stunning, and carnival like, almost like a skilled artist painted this beauty! This piece would be absolute killer if it did not have the fractures. However, it unfortunately does. But to me, even with the fractures, it is just an amazing slice of rock. It is 6 1/2" x 3 3/8" at its widest points, and 8 mm thick. It weighs 230 grams, or 8.2 ounces. You could certainly cut a number of beautiful cabs from this one, but to me, it would be an amazing polished specimen slab, despite the fractures.

Paisley Jasper Slab
Colorful Paisley Jasper Slab from Northern Arizona
This is a slab off of some really neat looking material we just found in Quartzite! The person we bought it from called it Paisley Jasper, and said he collected it himself from Northern Nevada. This is one of the first slabs we've cut from one of the pieces. It's about 5" x 1" to 2 1/4" and 6-7 mm thick. It weighs 100 grams, or 3.6 ounces. There are a few faint lines that could be fractures, but it feels pretty solid, and still looks like plenty of room for a number of wild cabs. Nice potential!

Laguna Agate Nodule
Unpolished Peach with Lavender Laguna Agate Nodule with Parallax
This is a really pretty, small Laguna Agate nodule, rough and unpolished. A nice peachy-pink wth lavender bands, and parallax (a shadow affect)! It is 2" x 1 1/8" and 20-24 mm thick. It weighs a total of 346 carats, or 69.3 grams (2.4 ounces). There is an obvious fracture line visible on the surface. Looks like several slices are possible if cabbing is preferred, but it will be a beautiful polished nodule.

Wingate Plume Agate Slab
Rare Wingate Plume Agate Slab with Sagenite (we think!)
This is a small Agate slab. It has the coloring of Wingate Agate from Death Valley (rare and no longer able to be collected if so), and looking very close, that's what I think it is. I thought at first that it might be some type of Mexican Agate, but I'm guessing it is Wingate. Aside from the beautiful coloring, notice the amazing detail of the tiny blue agate area, with little sagenite needles! It is just a stunning piece - whether it is shaped into a cab, or just polished for its beauty as is. Please note there is a fracture off to one edge, just outside the sagenite area, if cabbing is planned. It is about 2 1/4" x 1 1/2 to 1 7/8" and 5 mm thick. It weighs 183 carats, or 36.7 grams (1.3 ounces). To me, awesome beauty in this little slab! (A further note - had responses that this piece may be from Big Diggins, New Mexico.)

Willow Creek Jasper Slab

This is a nice, larger slab of Willow Creek Jasper. Willow Creek Jasper is a high quality, porcelain jasper from Idaho. This beauty is about 4 3/8" x 4 1/4",and just under 8 mm thick. It weighs 7.9 ounces, or 225 grams. There are a few fracture lines and iron spots to work around, but plenty of room for some amazing, high quality cabs!

Coyamito Agate Nodule
Coyamito Agate Half Nodule with Sagenite
We are pretty sure this is a Coyamito Agate. It has light pink and yellowish coloring, but Sagenite formations as well (sagenite formations are needle-like mineral growths, often in a fan-type shape). It is roughly 2 1/8x 1 7/8 and mostly 15-24 mm thick. It weighs 77 grams, or 2.7 ounces. The pocket itself does not have crystals, but is just matrix. A nice candidate for polishing as a specimen, but would also make one, maybe more, neat cabochons.

[On black background] [Other side] [Close-up] [Close-up of other side] [Size comparison] [Photographed dry] [Other side dry]This is a slab of Blue Lace Agate - a great deal for the price on this one! It is 2" x 1 5/8" and slightly over 6 mm thick. It weighs 35 grams, or 1.2 ounces. There are some small pits about the middle of one side, and the other has a black mark across the surface (probably a saw mark), but it is otherwise very nice and should yield one or more beautiful cabs!

[Other side] [Close-up] [On lighter background] [Another close-up] [Size Comparison] [Photographed dry] [Other side dry]This is a small slice of Petrified Wood. We don't know the locality or type, but it is a pretty little piece, showing some wood graining, kind of looks like 'brush' strokes. Chrysoprase Slab
Small Apple Green Chrysoprase Slab
This is a slab of Chrysoprase. It has beautiful color! If you were comparing it to some of the highest quality Chrysoprase, it is probably a shade or two below that, but never-the-less, really pretty material. The main photo was taken with light from behind - it is not that bright on its own. It looks pretty clean, as you can see from the slide show photos. Don't know if the lines you see are actually fractures, or just feathers in the material. Should be able to cut one or more gorgeous cabs from this one. Overall, including the matrix area you see, it is about 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" and 7 mm thick. It weighs 172 carats, or 34 grams (1.2 ounces). All photos were taken wet except where they say dry..

Purple Goldstone Slab
Large Dazzling Purple Goldstone Slab
This is a large slab of purple Goldstone, or what may also be referred to as blue Goldstone. It is not natural stone, rather man-made glittering, sparkling glass. Similar to the more commonly seen 'red' or copper colored Goldstone, it is the flecks of copper that it is made with that give it the sparkle. It is about 6 1/2" x 5 1/2", and 10 mm thick. It weighs 1 lb, 1 ounce, or 480 grams. Like stone, it takes a beautiful polish, and this one is a nice large slab for a nice number of final pieces possible. Please note that it will not fit in the small Flat Rate box, so $5 extra is included in the price to cover shipping in the U.S. International buyers, please email first.

Rainbow Ridge Agate Slab
Colorful Rainbow Ridge Jasp-Agate Slab
This is a slab of Jasper-Agate from Rainbow Ledge from the Randsburg/Inyokern area of the El Paso Mountains (Mojave Desert of California). The material is often referred to as Rainbow Ridge Jasp-Agate. My understanding is the rock club that has the claim on this material says it is actually Rainbow Ledge, but it is even written Rainbow Ridge in some of the gem trail books. Either way, some awesome material has come from this area. To me, this piece is one of those. It is about 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" and just under 5 mm thick. It weighs 2.4 oz, or 69 grams. There are a few possible fracture lines, and a couple small pockets (including one filled with druse) as well.

Small Lapis Pieces
1 Lb Small Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli Pieces
This is 1 pound of small pieces of rough Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. They are all small pieces as you can get an idea of from the photos in the slide show. A few pieces have circular cuts to them, possibly where cores were drilled from the full stone, others are mostly flat, sliced pieces, some end pieces (one or two have a little polish on them, but that's rare). The natural coloring, wet, is NOT as bright as it looks in the photos. It is beautiful color, but a little darker overall. Most of the batch has calcite and/or pyrite throughout, with some pieces having more or less than others. Some pieces are not quite as nice as others. We do not do intarsia work, and we do not cut many small cabs, but we assume many or most of these would be suitable for either, though there may be some waste depending on how you use them. Hopefully, based on your needs, you would be able to judge from the photos, but please let us know if you have any questions or need more details before purchasing. Your selection will come from this batch, but not necessarily one of the specific pieces shown. We have a limited number of pieces available, and we also sell on eBay, so if you want more than 1 pound, please email first.

Small Malachite Pieces
1 Lb Small Malachite Pieces
This is 1 pound of rough Malachite. They are all small pieces as you can get an idea of from the photos in the slide show. A number of pieces have a polish on them on one side or another, others are just rough. Patterns vary - some are more plain, some have nice lines, while a few have some really neat patterns. Some pieces have circular cuts to them, possibly where cores were drilled from the full stone, others are mostly flat. We do not do intarsia work, and we do not cut many small cabs, but we assume many or most of these would be suitable for either, though there may be some waste depending on how you use them. Howlite Slab
Nice Tick Canyon Howlite Slab
This is a slab of Howlite from Tick Canyon, near Saugus, California. Howlite is a calcium-silicate mineral. The material makes nice cabs with its spider web patterns. Though it is naturally white, and many times with black spider-webbing lines, the material is often dyed other colors because it apparently easily accepts a dye. This one is a brighter white than it looks in the photos, and it is accented with small brown spots, which actually gives it, to me, more character! Our understanding is that this material often fluoresces blue, while these little brown spots fluoresce yellow. It is roughly 5" x 3" and 5-6 mm thick. Weight is 115 grams, or 4.1 ounces.

Agua Nueva Agate Slab
Gorgeous, Colorful Agua Nueva Agate Slab
This is an unpolished, gorgeous Agua Nueva Agate slab, from Mexico! It is one slice of an amazing, old stock nodule. To me, despite the visible fractures in it, it is never-the-less an awesome specimen, unpolished as-is, with both sides providing some beautiful, but very different patterns! However, it also provides some spectacular cab potential if that is preferred. It is 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" at its wider points, 9-12 mm thick. It weighs 205 grams, or 7.3 ounces.

Rhodonite Slab
Large Rhodonite Slab, Lots of Pink
[On black background, same side opposite direction] [Other side] [One side dry] [Other side dry]This is a larger slab of Rhodonite, lots of pink in it, less black. We aren't sure where this piece came from, possibly Lime Kiln Creek along the California coast(?). It was photographed outside, on the ground in natural light in the main shot. The color is closest to this photo. The other photos, as seen in the slide show, were taken inside, on black background under fluorescent lighting. The black looks greenish on those, but it is actually black. It also has kind of a dirty film on it. That might be in the material, or possibly oil residue, though it does not feel like oil. So it may or may not go away when polished. It is 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" and 10 mm thick. It weighs 580 grams, or 1 pound, 4 ounces.

[Other side] [Closer shot] [Size comparison] [Close-up] [Another close-up] [Dry] [Other side dry]This is a slab of Stone Canyon Brecciated Jasper-Agate - a beautiful, colorful piece. The material comes from an area near a small town in Central California called Parkfield, known for the San Andreas Fault running through it and quite a bit of seismic testing is done there. It is brecciated because of earth movement that broke it apart and then later cemented it back together. This piece is a little larger than 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" and 5 mm thick. It weighs 45 grams, or 1.6 ounces.

Burro Creek Agate Slab - Pastelite Agate?
This is a slice of agate we collected from Burro Creek. We've sliced quite a bit of Pastelite from there that was more opaque - this almost looks like a translucent Pastelite, though we aren't sure. We have however cut several neat cabs from this same material (like cab #1045) - some nice colors and patterns in it. It is roughly 5" x 2-4" and 8 mm thick. It weighs 190 grams, or 6.7 ounces.
