This is a large and beautiful Paul Bunyan Plume Agate cabochon. It is 67 x 30 mm at the widest points, and 5 mm thick. It weighs 67 carats. It is nicely polished on both the front as well as on the back. S.A. Wittick is the artist on this piece. It is a nice specimen cabochon from this rare material, but would also make a stunning focal point in a special jewelry design!

Gargantuan Rhodonite Specimen Cabochon

This is a very large Rhodonite cabochon. It is really more of a specimen/display piece, but if thought is for an amazing larger necklace, please make sure you realize the size! It is 113 x 50 mm (that's 4 1/2" x 2"), 6 mm thick. It weighs 305 carats, or just under 3 ounces. It has beautiful lighter pink, with a greenish mottling in it. A neat piece for the right person!

Obsidian Cabochon

Gold Sheen Obsidian Cabochon

This is a beautiful, larger cabochon cut from Gold Sheen Obsidian. In normal lighting, you barely notice the rich mahogany spashes of color on either side but rock it a little under lighting, or move it into sunlight, and the amazing golden sheen flashes! Despite how it looks like this piece has deep caverns in it, it has a flat, smooth surface on both polished sides. It is 49 mm in diameter and as thick as 10 mm, with a 3-4 mm bezzel. It weighs 177 carats.

This is a gorgeous, larger Regency Rose Plume Agate cabochon. It is 69 x 41 mm and 6 mm thick. Beautiful color in this piece. It has a light polish on the back as well. Of note, there is a tiny pocket just on the outer edge near the rose color to be aware of, but it does not affect the beauty of this stone.

This is a colorful Jasper cabochon. We are not sure where the material came from, but we believe it was from the Mojave Desert of California. It is not as bright in natural lighting as it looks in the photos, but move it into the sunlight, or other lighting, and it comes to life with color. It is 52 x 39 mm and 8 mm thick. It weighs 121 carats. The back is lightly finished as well.

Rutilated Quartz Cabochon

Huge 176 ct Rutilated Quartz Cabochon

This is a large piece of Quartz, filled with golden Rutile spikes, gently sculpted into a freeform, triangular shaped cabochon. You can even catch a small glimps of rainbow colors in it, like an iris-affect (apparently that's visible because of small feathers inside the stone) on one corner when moved in the light - awesome! It weighs 176 carats! It measures 45 x 41 mm at its widest points, and has a thick, dome shape that rounds off around 17 mm high. The back is not totally flat, but has a slight curve to it. There is a small 6 mm wide feather near the bottom edge on one side, visible in several of the shots. To use as the focal point of a jewelry piece just realize how large it is in thickness, but it would be gorgeous, or 'stunningly' as the case could be! (You can tell it's not Ed that writes this, right?) I don't think these pictures do it justice ... but it's ready for some awesome setting, or for addition to display as part of a collection!
