These are some of the slabs and pieces that we offer for sale of Lapis Lazuli, mostly from Afghanistan. We charge one shipping cost for all that will safely fit in a Small Priority Flat Rate box and will ship to the U.S. as well as Internationally. See our Store Policies for full details.

Small Lapis Pieces

1 Lb Small Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli Pieces

This is 1 pound of small pieces of rough Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. They are all small pieces as you can get an idea of from the photos in the slide show. A few pieces have circular cuts to them, possibly where cores were drilled from the full stone, others are mostly flat, sliced pieces, some end pieces (one or two have a little polish on them, but that's rare). The natural coloring, wet, is NOT as bright as it looks in the photos. It is beautiful color, but a little darker overall. Most of the batch has calcite and/or pyrite throughout, with some pieces having more or less than others. Some pieces are not quite as nice as others. We do not do intarsia work, and we do not cut many small cabs, but we assume many or most of these would be suitable for either, though there may be some waste depending on how you use them. Hopefully, based on your needs, you would be able to judge from the photos, but please let us know if you have any questions or need more details before purchasing. Your selection will come from this batch, but not necessarily one of the specific pieces shown. We have a limited number of pieces available, and we also sell on eBay, so if you want more than 1 pound, please e-mail first.

Lapis Lazuli Slab

360 ct Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli Slab

This slab of Lapis is sliced flat on one side, and mostly rough on the other. It is a nicely colored, high quality Lapis. It is sprinkled with calcite and a few tiny flecks of pyrite. It is 3" x 1 1/2" at its widest points and it tapers as you can get the idea from the last picture between about 3 and 13 mm. The weight is 359 carats, or 72 grams (2.5 ounces). Please note that the natural coloring is closer to but NOT as bright, as the main photo, while the other photos are poor representation of the actual color. I apologize for the drastic difference in color from each of these photos - they are all photos of the one piece.

Lapis Lazuli Slab

232 ct Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli Slab

This is a nice slab of deep blue Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan. It has a little pyrite through-out, and just a little calcite, but the majority is a deep blue color. It is just under 3" x 1-1 5/8" and tapers triangularly from a very thin edge up to 10-15 mm thick. It has 232 ct weight, or 46.5 grams (1.6 ounces). Please note, the natural color is not as bright as it appears in the main photo.
